Gualala

So every year for memorial weekend we go camping at Gualala with a bunch of my family and friends. Its 3 hours north of san fransisco on the coast and it's right in a red wood forest. It's amazing and beautiful and we love it! Its the best kind of camping because it has the whole tent and campfire in a secluded forest, but it also has a place to go take a shower and go to the bathroom. my kind of camping. We took a raft down the small river with the boys and caught frogs and looked for crawdads and turtles, braden was all talk about how cool everything was until we let him hold the frog and then he freaked out, he got used to it eventually. Their favorite thing the entire time was to throw rocks in the river with Chad, we knew when they were getting tired though because braden would switch arms to keep throwing. The worst part about the trip was that cade finally figured out how to get out of his crib and then also the tent. The first insident we had put him down for a nap and sat around the campfire and about 20 minutes later he was walking barefoot around yelling dadda. I didn't think much of it that night because we were in the tent too so i didn't think he would escape, or at least that we would hear him. The next morning i woke up and went to get cade and it was my worst nightmare, he was not in his crib or in the tent at all and the tent was unzipped. I screamed at chad to wake up and we both franticlly jumped out of the tent and started looking for him. He could have been anywhere in the mountains, or even down by the river, luckily my cousin jimmy found him wandering around early in the morning and picked him up and sat with him by the fire. After we found out where he was i totally broke down and was crying, safe to say he didn't leave my side the rest of the trip and we tied the tent zipper shut from then on. He is a crazy kid!! So other than that it was as usual an awsome trip.

It looks so pretty there! No wonder you guys rave about that place every year. SO typical of Cade...I can't believe that kid. Scares me, because I think Adeline is going to be the same way :(

Cade is the risk taker in the family. Glad you all had fun, it looks like it.
