Cade just celebrated his 2nd birthday. We had a small party with some of my family and cade loved every minute of it. I just had to show everyone the cake i made for cade at his personal request. This sucker took me about 3 hours to make and i'm not a very motivated person so i don't know what drove me to this but cade was happy so i guess that's what matters.

Air show

So every year santa maria has an air show with warthog jets and i can't remember, F18's or something. They also have old planes from world war II fly and helecopters you can go inside and sit in the driver seat(if that's what they call it) anyway it was right up my two boys alley. They had a blast except for when the jet came close and the sonic boom shook you from the inside out. They were a little conserned about that.

Oregon

So i went to oregon for a week to visit my best friend april and her husband sam and their three kids, addie, gwen, and jackson. I have a ton of pics and we did too many things to put them all on this blog page. Here are a few of the things we did, and i don't know if its in order of the pictures either. We went to a couple of waterfalls which were beautiful, and in oregon there is plenty of the most beautiful landscape to see. We went to a small pond and caught salamanders for the kids to play with, well, sam caught salamanders for the kids and april and i sat and watched them, only getting up to go in the canoo and once when a huge dragonfly flew in aprils hair and unfortunately to say i did not come to her rescue, i ran and we both screamed like a couple of girls. I must explain the chicken suit on braden, he was outnumbered by girls and so they dressed him up in his boxer briefs and a chicken suit and they dressed in princess dresses and addie married them in the backyard, our only condition was that there was no kissing. The picture of all the kids basically past out in the car was common after every day's activities. Im going to miss my friend i wish she lived by me still, it was the most fun ive had in a long time!

Superman

The boys have never seen superman, the only way they know him is by their action figure of him. However they think they are each superman and fly through the house all day singing " superman, da da da da, da da!" they can do the superman the best when they use the kitchen table as a prop. Also speaking of superman, if you notice chad's black eye. He tells everyone that i got mad and punched him in the eye ( people who know me actually believe him) but the real story is that at a pool party last weekend he did a front flip and a half off the ROOF!!! and went face first into the water but hit so hard it gave him a black eye, then he couldn't understand why anybody thought that was crazy. All the guys at his work know he doesn't drink but thinks that he must have been drunk to do that and dont believe him when he says he was sober. The last picture is a common one. cade and braden should be spokesmen for popcorn, they love it, and cade fell asleep the other night with popcorn still in his little fist.

Gualala

So every year for memorial weekend we go camping at Gualala with a bunch of my family and friends. Its 3 hours north of san fransisco on the coast and it's right in a red wood forest. It's amazing and beautiful and we love it! Its the best kind of camping because it has the whole tent and campfire in a secluded forest, but it also has a place to go take a shower and go to the bathroom. my kind of camping. We took a raft down the small river with the boys and caught frogs and looked for crawdads and turtles, braden was all talk about how cool everything was until we let him hold the frog and then he freaked out, he got used to it eventually. Their favorite thing the entire time was to throw rocks in the river with Chad, we knew when they were getting tired though because braden would switch arms to keep throwing. The worst part about the trip was that cade finally figured out how to get out of his crib and then also the tent. The first insident we had put him down for a nap and sat around the campfire and about 20 minutes later he was walking barefoot around yelling dadda. I didn't think much of it that night because we were in the tent too so i didn't think he would escape, or at least that we would hear him. The next morning i woke up and went to get cade and it was my worst nightmare, he was not in his crib or in the tent at all and the tent was unzipped. I screamed at chad to wake up and we both franticlly jumped out of the tent and started looking for him. He could have been anywhere in the mountains, or even down by the river, luckily my cousin jimmy found him wandering around early in the morning and picked him up and sat with him by the fire. After we found out where he was i totally broke down and was crying, safe to say he didn't leave my side the rest of the trip and we tied the tent zipper shut from then on. He is a crazy kid!! So other than that it was as usual an awsome trip.

Father and son's
so this weekend was father and son's campout. braden and cade had a blast shooting their slingshots and airsoft guns at anything that moved...or didn't move...so everything. some crazy person gave cade a mountain dew (fred?!!) and he sucked on it like a baby's bottle, he even licked the sides of the can to make sure he got it all.

Entertainment
so there is not much for these poor kids to do while chad and i are working on the house so cade has found his love of skateboarding and braden of his bike. They both love to ride down the slide chad made in the backyard....oh wait it's just one of the doors we pulled off the inside. right now we are truly white trash, at least they have fun on it.
